SETTING AND PLOT
The game starts on the 10th birthday of the player in Foxfield Town. He/She is now able to start a journey that's why his/her mother will tell him/her to go to the Foxfield Laboratory located at the northern part of the town.
There, he/she will meet Professor Gary Oak, the Owaru Region's Pokémon Professor. Professor Gary Oak is the grandson of the famous Professor Samuel Oak, the genius behind the creation of Pokédex. Professor Gary will tell the player the history of Pokémon world and will ask the player to help him in researching the different Pokémon specie by filling up the Pokédex. You will be given a starter Pokémon from the Professor which will accompany you on your journey.
Later on, the player will meet France, a white-hair trainer who is also from Foxfield Town.
Pokémon Dark Eclipse is a fan-made version of Pokémon created by Calix Romero. The game has a brand new story and region, having a new plot and features. It features the corrupted version of Lugia called "Shadow Lugia". The game is still on it's planning stage.
Pokémon Dark Eclipse sets 25 years after the animé series.
Like the other Pokémon games, the player controls a Pokémon trainer, whose general goal is to traverse around the Owaru region and conquer a series of eight Pokémon gyms to earn eight Gym Badges, then take on the Elite Four, defeat the Pokémon League Champion and succeed him/her. Ash Ketchum is also included in the game which is now the Pokémon Master. The National Pokédex is also available without trading.

Originally, Pokémon Dark Eclipse' original title should be "Pokémon Eclipse". The creator added "Dark" after discovering that there was already a fanmade version of Pokémon entitled "Pokémon Eclipse".
